A Virtual Bar Mitzvah or Virtual Bat Mitzvah

Virtual Bar Mitzvahs and Virtual Bat Mitzvahs

From March 2020 until February 2023 there were many families concerned about in-person bar mitzvah and in-person bat mitzvah ceremonies due to the COVID pandemic. To accommodate Jewish teens scheduled to become bar or bat mitzvah during COVID, the virtual bar mitzvah or virtual bat mitzvah service on Zoom was the perfect solution. Even now that the COVID pandemic is mostly behind us, the Virtual Mitzvah may make the most sense for many families. Rabbi Jason is available to serve as the rabbi for these virtual mitzvah services.

With Zoom video technology, members of the mitzvah celebrant’s family are able to participate in the mitzvah service. Rabbi Jason will even be the host of the Zoom meeting, highlighting the bar mitzvah celebrant or bat mitzvah celebrant, muting and unmuting participants, and serving as the MC for the virtual mitzvah.
