For more than twenty years, I have had the privilege of working with Jewish teens preparing for their Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah celebrations. As an independent, post-denominational rabbi, I have guided hundreds of families through one of the most meaningful milestones in Jewish life.
Every student is different. Every family is different. That is why I take a personal, flexible, and relationship-driven approach to Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah preparation. My goal is always to make the experience meaningful, memorable, and spiritually grounding while keeping the process relaxed, supportive, and stress-free.

I am often called an indie rabbi, traveling rabbi, rabbi for hire, and non-synagogue rabbi because I work outside the boundaries of a single congregation. Being “beyond bricks-and-mortar” allows me to officiate Bar Mitzvahs and Bat Mitzvahs at just about any venue in the world — hotels and resorts, private homes, country clubs, amusement parks, cruise ships, club houses, catering halls, national parks, stadiums and arenas, beaches, and destination locations across the world.
I specialize in Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah tutoring, Torah chanting instruction, and full lifecycle ceremony officiation. My approach blends traditional Jewish learning with a modern, accessible teaching style that helps students feel confident and prepared.

Destination Bar Mitzvahs and Bat Mitzvahs I have officiated include celebrations in Israel, Italy, Greece, Poland, Prague, France, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Mexico, the Caribbean, Hawaii, Alaska, Las Vegas, New York City, Florida, California, Colorado ski resorts, national parks such as the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone, and major sports stadiums and entertainment venues.

Unlike many officiants offering private Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah services, I am a fully ordained rabbi, having received semikhah (ordination) from the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City, a respected rabbinical seminary and accredited academic institution.
My academic and professional training includes advanced Jewish studies, pastoral experience, and decades of work with Jewish teens and families. I take this responsibility seriously, ensuring that every student receives both authentic Jewish learning and a meaningful coming-of-age experience.
